FamilyCloudFeatures

One screen for your entire life.

Media, memories, cameras, calls, and files — today. Smart home, IoT, appliances, car, and more expanding on the same foundation. Everything in one place, on hardware you own.

You don't have to cancel anything to try this.

FamilyCloud is designed to run in parallel with what you already have. Import your library. Watch it work. Cancel subscriptions when you're ready — or don't.

Your hub, your name

You don't live in FamilyCloud

FamilyCloud is just the default name. Your hub is yours — name it whatever your family calls home. The Hendersons. HomeBase. Ours. Whatever fits.

The name shows up everywhere: your family's app, the dashboard, the invite links. Every view, every permission, every role is configurable. The hub reflects how your family actually lives, not how a product team assumed you do.

Your name, everywhere

It appears in the app, the dashboard, invite links — your family's hub, not a generic product.

Roles that fit your family

Parents, kids, extended family, guests. Set access however makes sense for how you actually live.

Configurable views

Every family member sees what's relevant to them. Nothing forced on anyone.

Invite links that make sense

Share your hub by name. Grandparents get an invite to "The Hendersons", not a UUID.

Your media

Your media, actually yours

Everything lives on drives in your home. Not in Virginia. Not on a server you don't control. Your originals, your hardware, your call.

📷

Photos & videos

When your phone connects to home Wi-Fi, your camera roll backs up automatically. Full-resolution originals — not compressed copies. FamilyCloud tags every photo by face, location, and event using AI that runs entirely on your own hardware. No photo is ever sent to a third-party service for analysis.

Search "beach 2023" or "Maya's birthday" and it finds them instantly. The originals live on your drives, not on a server you'll never visit in a state you've never been to.

🎬

Movies & TV

Your ripped DVDs, your purchased digital copies, your home movies — all streamed to any TV or phone in the house. Stream them from the couch, from a hotel room, from anywhere.

No Plex subscription required to watch files you already own. No one can pull them from the catalog. They don't disappear when a licensing deal expires.

🎵

Music

Your owned music library — CDs you ripped, albums you bought — available on every device in your house and everywhere you travel. No streaming service required for the music you already own.

📁

Documents & files

Tax returns. Medical records. Family documents going back decades. Accessible from your phone, your laptop, anywhere — and stored nowhere but home. No cloud company ever reads them, indexes them, or trains a model on them.

📹

Live cameras

Live cameras that stay home

Not Ring. Not Nest. Your camera footage never leaves your home network. When you check the front door from your phone, that video goes directly from your camera to your phone — peer-to-peer, without passing through a server you don't own.

CenterStage-style subject tracking keeps people in frame automatically. Clips save to your local drives only. There is no monthly plan to see your own front door.

Footage never leaves your network

WebRTC peer-to-peer: your phone talks directly to your camera. No cloud relay.

Subject tracking built in

CenterStage-style tracking keeps people framed automatically.

Clips stay local

Everything saves to your drives. Nothing uploads anywhere.

No monthly fee

You own the cameras. You own the footage. That's it.

📞

Family calls

Family calls — no Zoom required

Built-in video calling. No accounts to create. No apps to download. To invite grandparents, you send a link — they click it in their browser and they're in the call. That's it.

Calls run on your home server, not a third-party service. There are no meeting time limits, no waiting rooms, no "your free plan has expired" interruptions. It works on any browser, on any device, anywhere in the world.

🔄

Passthrough

Subscription passthrough

You still have Netflix, Spotify, Disney+. FamilyCloud doesn't replace them — it brings them together in one place alongside everything you actually own.

One app to launch everything. Your owned media lives next to your subscriptions. No switching between six different apps to find what you want to watch tonight.

🏠

Multi-site

Two locations, one library

Add a FamilyCloud node at a second location — a family member's house, a cabin, anywhere with broadband. The full library syncs between both sites automatically.

This does two things at once: everyone at that location gets local-speed access to the full library, and your data has geographic redundancy.

If your house burns down

Every photo and video you've ever taken is safe at the second location. This is better disaster protection than any cloud service — your data is physically somewhere else, in a building you trust, managed by someone you know.

Your home

Primary node. All your media, fully searchable, available on every device in the house.

Second location

Full copy, always in sync. Local-speed access for everyone there, and your offsite backup.

If either site goes offline, the other takes over automatically — no manual steps required.

🛡️

Recovery

Recovery is built in

SkyFire Recovery runs as a native layer inside FamilyCloud. It keeps point-in-time snapshots of your library, so if a file gets corrupted, accidentally deleted, or overwritten — you can bring it back to exactly how it was.

Ransomware protection is included. If something on your network tries to encrypt your files in bulk, FamilyCloud detects the pattern and stops it before it can do real damage.

Try it without changing anything

FamilyCloud is designed to run alongside everything you already pay for. You don't have to decide anything until you've seen it work. Here's exactly how that looks:

01

Import Google Photos via Google Takeout

Request your archive from Google, point FamilyCloud at it. About 20 minutes of setup. Your full library lands in FamilyCloud with all your original photos intact. Google Photos keeps working exactly as it did — nothing changes on that side.

02

Your iCloud Photo Library keeps syncing

FamilyCloud backs up your iPhone independently, over home Wi-Fi. iCloud keeps doing what it does. Both are running. You now have two copies of everything — one on Apple's servers, one on your hardware at home.

03

Run both for as long as you want

There is no deadline. No pressure. Watch FamilyCloud work for a month, six months, whatever it takes for you to trust it. Most families reach that point faster than they expected.

04

Cancel what you no longer need — when you're ready

When you decide FamilyCloud has earned your trust, cancel the subscriptions you've replaced. Most families save $50–80 per month. The hardware pays for itself in under two years.

💡

Most families cancel within 6 months — not because we told them to, but because they've watched FamilyCloud work better than anything they were paying for.

What's coming

The next chapter

The foundation — data ownership, encryption, multi-site sync, family access, media, photos, cameras, and calls — is built. The hub is expanding.

💡

Smart home & IoT

Lights, thermostat, HVAC, temperature inside and out. One screen for your environment, not a separate app for each device.

📹

Presence-aware cameras

Camera handoff as you move through your home. Your hub knows where you are and surfaces the right view. Walk in the front door; the living room camera picks up where the entrance camera left off.

🍳

Appliance integration

Oven, fridge, washer. Status and alerts in the same place as everything else.

🚗

Car integration

Location, status, alerts. Your car as part of your home network.

🧠

Contextual recommendations

Your hub knows your family's patterns. Movie night suggestions based on what you actually watch. Reminders that fit your schedule. Nothing leaving your home to make that work.

🔔

Reminders & alarms

Centralized, shared family reminders. Not in a third-party app. In your hub.

🔌

Expandable by design

New integrations plug into the same foundation. If it connects to the internet, it can connect to your hub.

These ship on a working foundation. The hard part — the architecture that makes it all yours — is already done.
