Tango Gameworks shadow-dropped Hi-Fi Rush at a January 2023 Xbox showcase with no prior announcement, and within 24 hours it was the most-talked-about game of the year. The concept is absurdly ambitious: every enemy, every animation, every platform, every particle effect moves in sync with the soundtrack. The result is a game that feels like playing inside an animated music video.
