Moon Studios spent five years on Will of the Wisps after Blind Forest, and the result is one of the most technically and artistically ambitious platformers ever shipped. Every frame is hand-painted at 4K. The movement system is fluid beyond almost anything else in the genre — Ori flows through environments rather than jumping through them. The score by Gareth Coker is orchestral and reactive, swelling to match the action in real time. It is also genuinely emotional in a way most games don't attempt. Will of the Wisps is the kind of game you recommend to people who say they don't play games.
